Who we are
This website is run by The Chiro Care Clinic (ChiroCare), owned and run by Dr Ammani Husna, at 4 Princes Court, Silver Street, Ramsbottom, Bury BL0 9BJ. We are the "controller" of the personal information described in this policy, which means we decide how it is used.

This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what your rights are. When you become a patient, the information you give us about your health and your care is handled as part of your confidential patient record, and we will explain how we use it when you register.
What we collect
When you send us an enquiry or ask us to call you back. Our website forms ask for your name, phone number and, on some forms, your email address, a message or a preferred time for us to call. We record the date and time you sent the form and the page you sent it from.
Information about your health. Some of our forms do not ask about your health at all. If you write about your symptoms in a message on one of our other forms, that is information about your health, which the law treats as especially sensitive. We only use it to answer your enquiry and to prepare for any conversation or appointment you ask for.
When you book online. Online appointments are booked through PracticeHub, our practice management system. The details you enter there (such as your name, contact details, date of birth and appointment details) are held in PracticeHub and used to manage your appointment.
When you use our website. We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how people use our website, and Google Ads tools to measure how well our adverts work. These collect information such as the pages you visit, how you arrived at our site (for example from a Google advert), the type of device and browser you use, and an approximate location based on your IP address. They use cookies to do this. Our cookie policy explains each cookie and how to switch them off.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry or call you back, for example to answer your questions or arrange a free phone consultation or an appointment. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before you may enter into an agreement with us (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- Where your message includes information about your health, we also rely on the condition for health care purposes, because the information is used by or under the responsibility of registered health professionals who owe you a duty of confidentiality (UK GDPR Article 9(2)(h) and the Data Protection Act 2018, Schedule 1, paragraph 2).
- To manage online bookings and appointments. Our lawful basis is providing the service you have asked for (Article 6(1)(b)).
- To understand how our website is used and to measure our advertising. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running and improving our website and knowing which adverts bring people to us (Article 6(1)(f)). Analytics and advertising cookies are switched on by default. You can switch them off at any time using the link at the bottom of every page.
We do not use your enquiry details for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list and we do not sell your information.
Who sees your information
Only our clinic team reads the enquiries and call-back requests you send. We also use service providers who store or process information for us, under contract and only on our instructions:
- Lovable, which hosts our website, and its database service provided by Supabase, which stores the enquiries sent through our forms.
- Our email provider, which delivers form enquiries to the clinic inbox.
- PracticeHub, our practice management and online booking system.
- Google, which provides Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads measurement.
We may also share information if the law requires us to, or to protect someone's safety.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of our service providers are based in, or process information in, the European Economic Area or the United States. Where your information is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by UK adequacy regulations (which cover the EEA, and US companies certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep it
- Website enquiries and call-back requests: up to 12 months after our last contact with you, and then we delete them from our website database and our email inbox. If you become a patient, the details you give us are kept as part of your patient record instead.
- Online booking information: kept in PracticeHub as part of your appointment and patient records.
- Website analytics: Google Analytics keeps event data for up to 14 months. Cookie lifetimes are listed in our cookie policy.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct it if it is wrong
- ask us to delete it
- ask us to limit how we use it
- object to us using it on the basis of our legitimate interests, including for analytics and advertising measurement
- ask for the information you gave us in a portable format
To use any of these rights, contact us by phone or email using the details above. We will reply within one month. There is normally no charge.
How to complain
If you are unhappy with how we have used your information, please tell us first using the contact details above. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and let you know what we have done about it.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
